Tuition in A level and GCSE English Language and Literature

I am an Oxford English graduate with over 40 years experience of teaching English at home and abroad,
in state and private education. At present retired from classroom teaching, I am offering one to one tuition in English.
Over the last ten years I have taught two complete A level English syllabuses, Literature and Language and Literature,
with excellent results; my students have a 100% pass rate and and around 90% on average have obtained A-C grades.
I am a member of the AQA panel of examiners in A level English Language and Literature.

I also offer tuition/lessons in GCSE English and in advanced English conversation.
I believe that both English Language and English Literature can and should be enjoyable and rewarding to study,
though good results always require some work! I am a dedicated reader and film enthusiast and have always
found interests in common with my students, at the very least in humour.

I have also seen 4 children through the education system, the youngest one taking her A levels this year,
so I am well aware of the pressures and difficulties of the examination years.
